Hiya peeps. It snowed here on the North Shore yesterday, and it was pretty. But lets get down to business. It is now December which means the start of lots and lots of Caspian shows from now until we the end of time. We most highly recommend our show on the 30th of December at the Middle East Upstairs. It is with some of our favorite local bands and it's a Friday night. If you have to pick just one, we say hit that one up. But ofcourse why pick just one when every other one is equally as killer? Exactly. We don't set up subpar shows and the upcoming concert list should illustrate why. Go give it a look. We are in the initial stages of setting up a nationwide tour in mid-march. This will include the west coast, so please keep checking back when the dates are posted. A smaller northeast tour is also being put together for late January/early February. It will include 5 dates and we will anounce them soon. We'll kick that tour off with an awesome show at TT's with Dear Leader on the 28th of January. The campaign does indeed charge ahead in 2006.
We are writing new stuff like wild animals, and we actually have enough material for a proper, no filler full length right now. All in good time, but you have no idea how excited we are to get the next album out there. Whenever that is we will let you know. Until then obviously we have the brand new EP, "You Are The Conductor". We'll post a list of retail outlets online that you can buy it from shortly. iTunes should have it up any day now. Look for major press on the record to surface early 2006. Also please check out breeddifferentmedia.net, as they'll be posting an interview/feature on Caspian within the coming month. Great, great site. Did you know we have a myspace account? Hit up www.myspace.com/caspiantheband and add us if you wish. Phew.
"You Are The Conductor" is now available nationwide. If your local record store doesn't have it in stock, tell them to order some copies. Online orders can now be made from amazon.com and within weeks iTunes will have the EP available for download. We'll also have copies of it at all upcoming shows along with new t-shirts, stickers and pins. Hooray Caspian merchandise! If you are coming to the big release show this Saturday, check the messageboard for directions and information about the show. We havent been this excited about anything since Cals 4th of July party. See you Saturday.

Lots of news to share so buckle up. Our concert this Friday the 30th is now open to the public and is shaping up to be an extra special event. Playing at the beautifully renovated Strand Theatre in Rockland, ME alongside the experimental documentary "Dazzled to Death" by Meg Tomeo, we embark on an experiment of our own. Caspian + Film = ?. Check the message board for directions and other information on this fantastic event.
The full lineup for our record release show (Saturday, November 12 at Great Scott in Allston) now includes Radka and Eyes Like Knives. We are more than excited for this show now that the lineup is complete. Its going to be a predictable but still tender and heartwarming caspian love fest with everybody, so don't be left out. This show is going to be awesome.
Also debuting alongside our new EP at the show will he new Caspian merchandise of the Sticker, Pins, Poster and T-Shirt variety. Our minion Nate S. (of the band "crawlspace" fame) is putting together some lovely crafts for your fashion pleasure. Now you too can pimp your ride with Caspian bling.
Hope everybody is well. We're writing more new songs at the "practice space" in Peabody in anticipation of our next album. But hey not so fast...
Fall '05 is going to be a busy season for us. "You Are The Conductor", our debut EP, contains 6 songs and clocks in around 28 minutes. It is all ready to go and will be released by Dopamine Records on November 8, 2005. It can be purchased online at iTunes or at your local record store (virgin, tower, newbury comics, local independent stores, etc). It is a taste of what is to come. The release show will take place November 12, 2005 at Great Scott in Allston. Also check the concerts page for new dates. Chances are we will be announcing december east coast tour dates within the coming months, so keep checking back. Thank you always for your support!
We finished the record. It sounds enormous! Unbelievable thanks to our new friend Ethan Dussault at New Alliance for putting in the hours. Great guy. Look for a Caspian feature in the September issue of the Noise and a CD release show in October. For the meantime we will be writing and playing some shows in the area. Check the concerts page for show updates. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer.
On Monday the 11th we go into New Alliance to record the EP. We are excited to finally get this underway! A New York City show at Sin-E' is being planned for September so keep your eyes peeled for an anouncement on that - it'll be grand times. Our only Boston show of the summer goes down on August 25th at TT's, be there peeps!
Friends, we apologize for the downtime with the site. Apparently we exceeded our traffic limit and had to upgrade to obtain more space. While that's great news, we apologize for any inconvenience. Most importantly, we want to thank everyone for coming out to the Church of the Advent show last Friday. It exceeded all of our expectations in so many ways and a lot of it had to do with you all showing up and enjoying yourselves. What a surreal experience. Did all of that really happen?!?
Friends, we are now gearing up for our concert at The Church of the Advent on Friday, April 22. This show is not to be missed and will feature Caspian, special guests and other surprises. You can find directions here. We hope to see you at this huge event!
This is our re-designed website, we hope you enjoy the new look. Thanks to Anthony for putting in the time to bring it to life. We're gearing up for 2 amazing shows, one with one of our favorite bands MONO and the other at the Church of the Advent in Boston. Check the messageboard and the concert listings page for more information - these shows are HOT HOT HOT.
We would like to thank all of you beautiful people for coming out to the Paradise and making it a night to remember. That was one heck of a time! Caspian will be playing some shows in April and will take the month of May to record their debut EP. This EP will be released in September 2005 on Dopamine Records. Always stay tuned for further developments.
