Back home from tour. We'd like to extend a sincere word of thanks to those of you who came out to a show, bought an album, or just supported us in general this year. It meant a lot to us - many thanks. We're going to lay low from touring for awhile and continue writing more new material. We are doing 2 very special shows to mark the end of what has been a busy year. The first is down at Pianos in New York City with our friends This Will Destroy You on Saturday, December 8. We are excited to play outside of Texas with those guys finally and to play at Pianos for the 4th time this year. Every time we play there its a great deal of fun and we're expecting this to be the best one yet. The other show is Radar Recordings' 5th Annual Last Night on Earth happening on December 30 at the Middle East Upstairs. The bill includes Constants and 2 surprise reunions that are going to knock your socks off. If you've been to these late December shows that we do annually in Boston you know what you are in for. Any day now I'm expecting to walk into my apartment and see 10 boxes from UPS containing The Four Trees vinyl. That will be something indeed. We will have copies available at the shows mentioned above, and online links for purchase are coming to us in the next 48 hours. We'll spread 'em around when the links arrive. Enjoy the holidays and have a great new year. We'll see in 2008.

Hey! We're winding down a beautiful (and hot) summer up here in Beverly. Hope everyone had a great one and is anticipating a lovely Autumn. This Thursday we're hitting the road HARD for the 3rd time this year. Very niiiice. We're excited to play some spots we've never been, meet some fresh faces, and revisit the old ones that we've come to appreciate and love. This tour is going to be awesome!!! Expect copies of the both Caspian albums (including the recently re-pressed EP "You Are The Conductor"), t-shirts, tour posters and other stuff at the merch table. Also perhaps we'll try and bust out 1 or 2 of the new songs we've been hard at work on this summer when we can. We're most excited to announce that every single one of these shows is going to be a co-headlining bill with our Bostonian friends and space-rock brethren CONSTANTS. These guys are one of the best (if not THE best) live bands we have ever seen, and we cant wait to raise a ruckus with them for a couple months. Tours like this are what its all about. There are going to be more dates for the end of October added on to the list so keep an eye peeled... GET READY to rumble with us friends. Cant wait to see you and enjoy fall.

Hey. Hope everyone is doing well. We're busy getting ready for a short mini-tour next week up to Canada and some select dates in the Northeast, and booking the big fall US tour with Constants. Things are shaping up nicely for both tours and we hope to see you if we roll through your town. Keep it here for an official announcement on fall dates. Vinyl of The Four Trees is almost in production, just squaring away some final details. We hope to have these ready by the fall. SPIN.com featured Caspian as their artist of the day recently which was great too! Its been a hot summer up here in Beverly though we've gotten some cool sea breezes to keep it under control which has been nice. We have been spending lots of time writing new material at our practice space and we also built a foot controlled light rig (with a strobe light and everything). Enjoy the dog days of summer.

We're back from tour. We cant say thanks enough for all of the support we got out on the road this time. Thanks a million - this tour was the best we've had yet. For the next few weeks we are going to sleep and take it easy. It looks like we will be going back out for a 2 week Canadian/Northeast US tour sometime later this summer, so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime we are going to keep writing the next Caspian record, go have bonfires on the beach, grill some delicious fish and play some local shows in the Boston area. We are also going to be releasing information on the special edition version of The Four Trees, release dates for the vinyl LP pressing and putting in an online store as the summer develops. All very exciting things indeed.

February 27, 2007

Hello everyone. There is a lot of news to report!! Our new full length album "The Four Trees" will be released April 10 in North America (Dopamine Records) and May 2 in Japan (Xtal Recordings). The release party/show has been booked for Friday, April 13 at The Paradise in Boston as well!! This is going to be the biggest show of ours yet, so come out and celebrate with us. Constants and On Fire will also be performing which means this show is going to leave no living thing standing. You should be able to get the record at your local independent record store (some major ones too) and on iTunes, Amazon, Insound and other online distributors when it comes out. We will make pre-ordering information available when we get it from the label. There will also be a special edition version of the album limited to 75 copies available for sale later this Spring as well! Ordering information will be presented closer to when it is available (we're still uncertain of the exact date the special edition will drop, but we can say that it is definitely going to happen, and that we are excited). The special edition version of the album will be hand assembled by Caspian, and will feature artistic contributions from local North Shore artists. Second, we will be doing a tour of the United States again this Spring, at which we will have copies of the album, the ep and new merchandise for your consumption. We also want to announce here that guitarist Calvin Joss will not be joining us this time out on the road, and will be replaced for this tour by our close friend and ally Erin Burke-Moran. Not only is Erin of the best guitarists/performers we have ever seen, he is a dear trusted friend who has been close with us all well before Caspian even began. Thank him if you see us on tour for helping us out of a tight situation and for making it happen. We are eternally grateful to him and are so incredibly excited to get back out on the road. To see the latest dates, head to our myspace page. This tour is going to be the best yet! And finally, expect an overhaul of the website in conjunction of the album release this April. Ok that's it. Springtime is getting closer with each passing second which is perhaps the best news of all.

Happy New Year. Head over to DECOYMUSIC and check out the most anticipated albums of 2007 article. "The Four Trees" gets a mention alongside artists like Aereogramme, Blonde Redhead, Ours, Explosions In The Sky, Jesu and Modest Mouse. Junius is also in there. Score 2 for Boston. Also, check out a long new interview about us. It should catch you up on the latest. There is information about the new album, hopeful touring plans and a whole lot of other information. Thanks to The Silent Ballet for running it. Finally, you're in the Boston area, we really want to encourage you to come check out the show on Wednesday the 31st at TT The Bears. It is with our good friend Paul Michel from DC and we want all of our friends to check him out, as we think he is the real deal and will one day be very popular. Come say you saw him when. We took an earlier slot at this show ( 10:15 ) to encourage as many people as possible to come out on a weeknight. 28 Degrees Taurus are headlining though, and when you hear them you are going to want to stay the whole night anyways. Their music is sexy time. Have the best year ever.
